Refettorio has a magnificent location, within Crowne Plaza – London The City hotel adjacent to Blackfriars underground station. Meters from the river Thames and at the centre of Europe’s most vibrant financial and business district, whilst the bright lights of the West End are minutes away.

The main dining room features a long refectory-style table with benches along both sides. There are booths in this section as well as another, more private, dining room beyond. The look is clean, smart and up to date with a very nice buzz indeed. Refettorio’s interiors speak of comfort, design elegance and a certain eccentricity of spirit.

Refettorio prides itself on showcasing traditional and regional Italian foods made from the highest quality ingredients. In keeping with this, it seems right that our guests should be able to sample some of these fine Italian products away from Refettorio. Therefore La Nostra Dispensa, Refettorio’s exclusive deli, has been created offering a range of products and ingredients for guests to purchase and enjoy at home.

Choose from classic products such as tagliatelle di faro and penne al faro or sample more unusual items such as salsa di melone senapata (plum jam with mustard) or miele al tartufo (truffle honey).

Many products offered originate from Gottolengo, a small village in Po Plain, between the provinces of Brescia, Gemona and Mantora. Other regional foods include olive nere paesane, artigianal black olives form the Moise region or condimento balsamico, a Balsamic condiment from San Donnino Modena.

Products can be bought individually or as specially created gift baskets.

Taking advantage of seasonal produce  Head Chef Mattia Camorani's  dishes include Pumpkin risotto with sage and nutmeg, pasta parcels with oxtail and orange duck breast with honey glazed carrots and black cabbage, rhubarb compote with mascarpone foam  and tiramisu. The all-Italian wine list of some 100 bins is carefully selected to complement the rustic food along with a top selection of cocktails and beverage packages to suit your taste as well and your budget.
